By placing an order or using our services, you agree to these Terms in full. Please read them carefully before placing your order.

The Prep Studio Ltd is a UK-registered company providing high-quality, freshly prepared meals delivered directly to your door across West Yorkshire.
2. Our Service
We create, package, and deliver freshly prepared meals designed for convenience and quality. All dishes are made to order using carefully sourced ingredients and delivered chilled or ready to heat.
Key Service Features:
- All meals are prepared fresh at sunrise on the day of delivery
- Meals are never pre-prepared or from previous days
- Orders placed by 23:59 (11:59pm) are delivered the following day between 10am and 12pm
- Delivery is available Monday to Friday only (no weekend deliveries)
- Free delivery on all orders over £30 minimum order value
- Delivery covers homes and workspaces across West Yorkshire
Availability, menu items, delivery areas, and operational capacity may vary based on demand, ingredient sourcing, seasonal availability, or operational requirements. We reserve the right to modify our service offering, menu items, and delivery coverage areas at any time without prior notice.
3. Ordering Process
Orders can be placed via:

- Through any other authorized ordering platform we may introduce
Order Confirmation:
- Once an order is submitted and payment is processed, you will receive an order confirmation via email
- This confirmation forms a binding agreement between you and The Prep Studio Ltd
- Please ensure that all details — including delivery address, contact telephone number, and any dietary requirements or special instructions — are accurate and complete at the time of ordering
- We are not responsible for failed deliveries or incorrect orders resulting from inaccurate customer information
Our Rights: We reserve the right to decline, cancel, or refuse any order in the following circumstances:
- Payment is incomplete, declined, or fraudulent
- Delivery details are incorrect, incomplete, or outside our delivery area
- Operational capacity limits have been reached
- We suspect fraudulent activity or abuse of our services
- The customer has previously violated these Terms
- Unusual or bulk orders that exceed our normal operational capacity
If we decline or cancel an order, any payment taken will be refunded in full within 5-7 working days.
4. Cancellation & Your Consumer Rights
Perishable Goods Exemption:
All our meals are classified as perishable fresh food products. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, orders for perishable goods are exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off period that applies to distance sales.
This means:
- Once your order is confirmed and payment is processed, it cannot be cancelled
- No refunds will be issued for cancellation requests, as meals are prepared specifically for you on the morning of delivery
- This exemption applies because food is prepared fresh to order and has a short shelf life
Exception: If there is a genuine error on our part (wrong order delivered, quality issue, unreasonable delay caused by us), you are entitled to a replacement or refund as detailed in Section 7.
5. Pricing & Payment
All prices displayed on our website, menus, and promotional materials are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP £) and include Value Added Tax (VAT) at the applicable rate unless otherwise clearly stated.
Payment Methods: We accept the following payment methods:
- All major debit cards (Visa Debit, Mastercard Debit, Maestro)
- All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express where available)
Payment Processing:
- Payment is taken at the time of order placement
- No order is considered confirmed until payment has been successfully processed and authorization received
- We use secure, encrypted payment processing through trusted third-party payment providers
- We do not store your complete card details on our systems
Price Changes:
- We reserve the right to update menu pricing periodically to reflect changes in ingredient costs, supplier pricing, operational costs, or service enhancements
- Prices are confirmed at the point of order and will not change once your order is confirmed
- Any promotional prices or discounts are subject to the terms specified in Section 8
6. Delivery
Delivery Service:
- Deliveries are made to the address provided by you during the checkout process
- Our standard delivery window is between 10am and 12pm on the day following your order (Monday to Friday only)
- We prepare all meals fresh at sunrise and deliver them the same morning
- Delivery is available across West Yorkshire to eligible postcodes
Delivery Times:
- Estimated delivery times are provided as guidance only and are not guaranteed
- While we make every reasonable effort to deliver within the stated time window, external factors may occasionally cause delays, including but not limited to:
- Traffic congestion or road closures
- Adverse weather conditions
- Vehicle breakdowns or operational issues
- Higher than anticipated order volumes
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
Your Responsibilities:
- You must ensure that someone is available to receive the delivery at the specified address during the delivery window of 10am to 12pm
- You must provide accurate and complete delivery details including full address, postcode, and contact telephone number
- You must provide any necessary access instructions (e.g., gate codes, building entry, safe place instructions)
- If you provide a delivery instruction, you accept full responsibility for the order once left in that location
Missed Deliveries: If delivery cannot be completed due to:
- No one being available to receive the delivery
- Incorrect or incomplete address details provided
- Inability to access the delivery location
- Refusal to accept the delivery
Then:
- We will attempt to contact you using the telephone number provided
- We may leave the order in a safe place if you have authorized this
- If delivery cannot be completed, we reserve the right to return the order to our facility
- No refund will be issued for missed deliveries caused by customer error or unavailability
- We cannot accept liability for loss, spoilage, or quality deterioration resulting from missed deliveries, delayed collection by the customer, or incorrect address details provided by the customer
Delivery to Business Premises: If delivering to a workplace, office, or commercial building, please ensure reception or security staff are informed and able to accept the delivery on your behalf.
7. Food Standards, Safety & Allergies
Food Hygiene & Quality: We take exceptional pride in maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene, preparation, and quality control. Our kitchen operations comply fully with UK Food Safety regulations and we are registered with the local Food Standards Agency.
Allergen Information: All meals are prepared in kitchen facilities that handle multiple allergens including but not limited to:
- Nuts (including peanuts and tree nuts)
- Dairy and milk products
- Gluten and cereals containing gluten
- Eggs
- Soy and soya products
- Fish and shellfish
- Sesame seeds
- Celery and celeriac
- Mustard
- Sulphites
- Lupin
- Molluscs
Your Responsibilities Regarding Allergies:
- You are responsible for notifying us of any allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions BEFORE placing your order

- We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary requirements where possible
- However, due to the nature of our kitchen operations, we cannot guarantee that any meal is completely free from traces of allergens
- Cross-contamination may occur despite our best efforts and procedures
Important Allergy Warning: While we take all reasonable precautions to prevent cross-contamination and provide accurate allergen information, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of allergens in any dish. Customers with severe allergies or life-threatening allergic reactions should carefully consider the risks before ordering and do so entirely at their own risk.
If you have any doubt about the safety of our meals for your dietary requirements, please do not order.
Food Storage After Delivery: Once delivered, you are responsible for the proper storage, refrigeration, and handling of your meals:
- Meals must be refrigerated immediately upon receipt or within 2 hours of delivery, whichever is sooner
- Store meals at or below 4°C in a refrigerator
- Consume meals within the timeframes indicated on the packaging labels
- Follow all reheating instructions provided on the packaging
- Do not consume any meal that appears spoiled, has an unusual odor, or has exceeded its use-by date
- We cannot accept responsibility for food safety issues arising from improper storage, handling, or consumption after delivery
8. Ingredient Substitutions
Due to seasonal availability, supplier issues, or ingredient sourcing challenges, we reserve the right to make reasonable substitutions of similar quality, nutritional value, and culinary style without prior notice.
We will:
- Only substitute with ingredients of comparable or superior quality
- Maintain the overall character and integrity of the dish
- Take into account any dietary requirements or allergen information you have provided
We will not:
- Substitute ingredients in a way that introduces new allergens you have specifically notified us about
- Make substitutions that fundamentally change the nature of the dish ordered
If you have concerns about potential substitutions due to allergies or strong preferences, please contact us before ordering.
9. Refunds, Replacements & Complaints
General Policy: As all our products are fresh, perishable food items prepared specifically to order, refunds are not generally available.
We will issue a full refund, partial refund, or replacement meal in the following circumstances:
- Incorrect Order Delivered: If we deliver the wrong items or an incomplete order
- Quality Issues: If there is a genuine and verified quality concern with the food (such as spoilage, contamination, or significant preparation errors)
- Unreasonable Delay: If delivery is unreasonably delayed due to our operational failures, resulting in food safety concerns
- Failure to Deliver: If we fail to deliver your order entirely and the failure is our responsibility
How to Make a Claim: All refund, replacement, or complaint requests must be:
- Submitted to info@theprepstudio.co.uk
- Made within 24 hours of the scheduled delivery time
- Accompanied by photographic evidence where applicable (e.g., for quality issues, incorrect items, or packaging damage)
- Include your order number, delivery address, and a clear description of the issue
Our Response:
- We will investigate all claims promptly and respond within 48 hours
- We reserve the right to request additional information or evidence
- Our decision on refunds and replacements is final
- Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5-7 working days of approval
What We Will Not Refund:
- Changes of mind or cancellation requests after order confirmation
- Subjective taste preferences or portion size expectations
- Meals stored or handled improperly after delivery
- Missed deliveries due to customer unavailability or incorrect details provided
- Issues reported more than 24 hours after delivery
10. Promotions, Discounts & Offers
Promotional Codes:
- Promotional codes, discount vouchers, or special offers must be entered and applied at the checkout before payment is processed
- Codes cannot be applied retroactively to orders already placed
- Only one promotional code may be used per transaction unless explicitly stated otherwise
- Promotional codes are case-sensitive and must be entered exactly as provided
Terms of Offers:
- All promotions, discounts, loyalty rewards, and special offers are subject to availability and specific terms and conditions

Circumstances Beyond Our Control: We are not liable for any failure to fulfill orders, delays, or service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Severe weather conditions, natural disasters, or acts of God
- Power failures, utility disruptions, or infrastructure failures
- Supplier failures, ingredient shortages, or supply chain disruptions
- Public health emergencies, pandemics, or government restrictions
- Labor disputes, strikes, or industrial action
- Terrorism, civil unrest, or war
- Fire, flood, or other disasters
- Technology failures or cyber attacks affecting our systems or third-party service providers
Nothing in These Terms Excludes or Limits:
- Our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Our liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law
Food Safety Limitation: Once meals have been delivered and accepted by you, we cannot accept liability for any illness, injury, or adverse reaction arising from:
- Improper storage, handling, or refrigeration after delivery
- Consumption of meals beyond their use-by date
- Failure to follow reheating or preparation instructions
- Allergic reactions where you failed to notify us of allergies before ordering
- Pre-existing food intolerances or sensitivities not disclosed to us
12. Force Majeure
We shall not be held liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under these Terms that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (“Force Majeure Event”).
Force Majeure Events include but are not limited to:
- Acts of God, including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane, or other natural disaster
- War, invasion, hostilities, terrorist acts, riot, or civil unrest
- Government actions, regulations, orders, or restrictions
- Pandemic, epidemic, or public health emergency
- Strikes, lock-outs, or industrial disputes (whether involving our workforce or third parties)
- Complete or partial failure of public or private telecommunications networks or utilities
- Supplier failures or disruption to supply chains beyond our control
Effect of Force Majeure: If a Force Majeure Event occurs:
- Our obligations under these Terms will be suspended for the duration of the event
- We will use reasonable efforts to find alternative means of performing our obligations
- We will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable
- If the Force Majeure Event continues for more than 14 days, either party may terminate the affected order and any payment for undelivered items will be refunded
